ABOUT CHERI

Cheri Cameron-Newell

lives with her husband and yorkiepoo in Palos Verdes, California. Her girl/boy twins have graduated college and flown the nest. The only thing that rivals Cheri's passion for tennis is her desire to write for children. Her diverse background includes childhood education, advertising, copywriting, and creating her own line of greeting cards for Recycled Paper Greetings.

Recalling childhood memories with her siblings led to The Stinker Series (For The Love Of Chocolate). Swamp Dog Sam was inspired by a fascination with the Okefenokee Swamp.

The author has always considered children to be earth angels… especially after waiting ten years for her own twin angels to arrive. Her photography of children led to the idea for An Angel Just Like You and Horse Kisses.

Cheri is a member of the SCBWI.
